This project in Longthorpe, Peterborough was completed on the 20th January 2018 and took us 2 days to excavate and 3 days to block pave. The total size of this project was 183m2, which included a front driveway, side pathway and a slight ramp going to the front door.
The Customers Needs
The customers wanted to replace the existing gravel driveway, front grass garden and shrubbery at the side of the house to create an all in one block paving installation that improved access to and from the property, and improved the general frontage of the property.
Easier Access For A Disabled Person
To achieve what the customers wanted we block paved the required area in an eye-catching Savanna autumn colour which was laid in a random stretcher bond design with a charcoal single border.
Due to one of the customers being disabled we also created a slight ramp to the door for better access, not only that but block paving in general created an easier surface for the customers to walk on.
Creating Easier Maintenance For The Customers
Part of the project involved us excavating the shrubbery at the side of the property and block paving the area in the same Savanna autumn block as the driveway with a charcoal border. By doing this it means that the customers do not need to worry about maintaining that area again, and they can access the gate at the side of the house much easier.
The Finished Product
The result is an eye-catching all in one block paved installation which gives the customer easier access to and from the property while creating less maintenance to the front of the house. All the work you see here is guaranteed for 10 years until January 2028.
