Driveway, Side Pathway & Patio Project In Ramsey, Cambridgeshire

Project Information

This 182m2 driveway, side pathway & patio project in Ramsey, Cambridgeshire was completed on the 7th June 2018 and took us 7 days from start to completion.

A Different Block Paving Product

The customer wanted a tighter laid, more modern looking block paving product on the driveway which would leave very little gaps for weeds and they also wanted to replace the slab patio area with the same block paving product to give the same effect around the side and back of the property.

The Front Driveway

To give the customer a driveway which was more tightly laid and gave the property a more modern look we used Savanna pennant grey block paving which comes in 3 different sizes and are laid in a random stretcher bond design, while using charcoal as the border colour. We also replaced the existing keykerbs with a charcoal block on edge and installed a block paved step in the same colour as the driveway to the front door.

The Rear Patio & Side Pathway

To give the customers a block paving installation that went through the entire property from the front to the back we block paved the patio and side pathway in the same Savanna pennant grey and charcoal border as the driveway. We also installed a block paved step at the rear door in the same colours, and used Bradstone Buff Textured slabs to replace the previous slab steps going down to the garden.

Providing Sufficient Drainage

To make sure the front and the rear of the property had sufficient surface water drainage we replaced the existing aco channels in front of the garage & house as well as along the gate with new aco channels as water was falling towards those areas. We also reset 2 existing manhole to make sure they blended into the installation and to not cause an eyesore.

The Finished Product

The result is a block paving installation which uses a product the customer is much happier with and leaves her with less property maintenance. All of the work you see here is guaranteed for 10 years until June 2028.
