The Customers Needs
The customers wanted to modernise the front, side and rear of the property by replacing the old concrete driveway, slab pathways down the side of the house and the concrete & gravel patio at the rear, all in more modern looking and less conventional Savanna block paving. They wanted to do this to give themselves a more practical area at the rear of the house which would be an improved surface for their garden furniture, create better looking access down each side of the house and to leave themselves with a more modern frontage to the house

Installing Front Driveway & Side Acess
We firstly excavated the old block paved driveway & slab footpaths to a suitable depth and sub-based the area with our own crushed hardcore which was then flattened by a 1 ton roller. We then screeded a 50mm layer of sand and laid the block paving in a random stretcher bond design, using Savanna Pennant Grey as the main colour and charcoal as the border colour.

Installing Side Pathway
We then excavated the concrete pathways to a suitable depth and sub-based the area with our own crushed hardcore which was then flattened by a 1 ton roller. We then screeded a 50mm layer of sand and laid the block paving in a random stretcher bond design, using Savanna Pennant Grey as the main colour and charcoal as the border colour.

Installing Rear Patio
We then excavated the concrete gravel patio area to a suitable depth and sub-based the area with our own crushed hardcore which was then flattened by a 1 ton roller. We then screeded a 50mm layer of sand and laid the block paving in a random stretcher bond design, using Savanna Pennant Grey as the main colour with a charcoal border. We also installed a large step outside the conservatory door and installed 3 flower bed areas around the patio for the customers to put plants in.

The Finished Product
As you can see the property now has a much more modernised front, with better looking access down the side of the house and a more practical patio area which can be used more.
