Construction

The 1st stage of your new driveway will be the arrival of our 18 ton lorry and mini digger to start the excavation process

Our 18 ton lorry and mini digger ready to go

The driveway is excavated to a depth of 300mm below the finished driveway level. Then a 200mm layer of hardcore stone is added. this is then compacted with a 1 ton roller ready to be sanded

Our 3 Ton Mini Digger

Using the mini digger and shovels we add a 50 mm a layer of sharp sand on top of the stone which is then compacted.

The sand is then "screeded" by hand to the slope of the drive ready for the blocks to be laid.

Our men screeding the sand

Then we fill any gaps in the drive using hand cut blocks and also fit manhole covers and drains during this process
